DIVIDE AND CONQUER IS A STRATEGY THAT IS USED BY THOSE WHO HATE LOVE AND PEACE. The Only Pleasure In Life For Those Who Are Miserable And See Other Enjoying Good Is To Wreak Havoc Wherever Possible. But when it comes to quarrels over opinions about what did nor did not happen, oft times disputes are not worth discussing because they only lead to animosity and hatred of those who seem to win the argument..

One of the biggest problems for too many people today is they cannot resist telling everyone how little they know. So they will argue over controversies and claim that their opinion is correct.
  • But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless. As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him, knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned. (Titus 3:9-11)
When it comes to people who want to argue that they know better than others and seek to divide congregations, this is called sowing seeds of discord and an abomination before God the Father.
  • There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers. (Proverbs 6:16-19)
The statement of Titus (3:9–11) is more likely along the lines of Jewish controversies rather than being the mere babble of the ignorant, but foolish talk can be included, if it is about the Mosaic Law or pertaining to Jewish customs of the Day, which could well be incorporated in the term “law”, within the understanding of those referenced.
