VALUE IS OFTEN OVERLOOKED WHEN IT COMES TO SEARCHING FOR THE TRUTH. Like Many Things People Purchase The Cheaper It Is The Better The Deal, Well That Is The Common Wisdom When It Comes To Value, Unfortunately, too many people learn after they have purchased what they can on the cheap that this was not a value buy after all but expensive; for value has its own metrics and cheap is not necessarily one of them.

To search for Jesus, means exactly what is stated, and what a person would do, who was searching for anyone they were seeking to find. Of course, much depends on how eager or earnest or desperate the searcher seeking to find Jesus happens to be. If the searcher is just casually looking, then like a window shopper the person will saunter down the road carelessly and carefree, not really giving a second thought to the price required to purchase what is on offer. Well not until the window shopper suddenly stumbles upon something that is recognized as being more valuable than what it would cost to purchase. The casual attitude takes on a new dimension and the person casts it aside to become an eager buyer.
  • The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up; then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. (Matthew 13:44)
Sometimes, people are earnestly searching for what they know they want. The questions are easy to form when one’s knows the answer. And it is a well-known adage that knowledge also comes easy for a person of understanding (Proverbs 14:6)—at least, this is a well-known adage among some circles. Those who are earnestly seeking to find Lord Jesus Christ are like a merchant who understands the value of the items for trade.
  • Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it. (Matthew 13:45-46)
As for chasing after Lord Jesus Christ, unless you can see His footprints, you would not know which direction that he went. You would be like a pursuit cyclist in a velodrome, merely circling the track. Now that would be a waste of time. Jesus rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of God.
  • But what does it say? The word is near you, on your lips and in your heart (that is, the word of faith which we preach); because, if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For man believes with his heart and so is justified, and he confesses with his lips and so is saved. The scripture says, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame. (Romans 10:8-11)
Seeking and searching for Jesus is best done directly on a personal basis. Lord Jesus actually searches people’s hearts to see who are genuine and who are not. Those who are 100% genuine—not 99.9%, but only 100%—they are the ones to whom Lord Jesus Christ reveals Himself. Most people play games, as in go window shopping, and think that they are being sophisticated, because they point out what they know exists, not realizing it is what they do not know, which is what they really have to worry about—at least until the most important issue is settled.

Knowledge That Is Valuable Always Points You In The Right Direction
