THERE ARE MANY VERSIONS OF THE BIBLE IN THE WORLD BUT WHICH VERSION IS CORRECT IS A OFTEN ASKED. More Than Worrying About Which Version Is Correct, Some People Want To Know Which Language Is The Correct Language For The Word Of God. When we think about it, people love to bring the Infinite, All-knowing Creator down to their own level.

How can anyone claim to be a literalist (like Norman Geisler) since the Bible is written in so many different languages and no language has the same vocabulary. Plus in its orignal Greek it’s only the level of education of the writer? No 2 English versions have the same vocabulary?
  • Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.—2 Timothy 2:15 KJV
This Scripture is responsible for many people not coming to Lord Jesus Christ. Instead of having faith in Lord Jesus Christ, people wrongly (some knowingly) promote that they have to study to gain approval from God.

The Word of God transcends all languages because the Living Word of God is Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us this in so many ways, but the book of Revelation makes this very clear.
  • Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems; and he has a name inscribed which no one knows but himself. He is clad in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, followed him on white horses. (Revelation 19:11-14)
The written word of God bears witness to the Son of God, Lord Jesus Christ. Anybody who points people away from the way to the truth that leads to life does not understand the written word of God.

As for vocabulary, there are many languages in the world. They are not all English. When the written word of God that consists of the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek texts is translated into other languages there will always be some influence of the translators worldview and perceptions embedded in the translation.

Scholars who translate the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek texts, nevertheless, do the best they can to be faithful in their efforts. Although there have been some corrupt attempts to change what the Bible actually states—the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures is one such version (compare Is the New World Translation a valid version of the Bible?) Although, some changes have been made in the latest version, which states that the Holy Scriptures instruct how to be saved through faith in Christ Jesus.
14 You, however, continue in the things that you learned and were persuaded to believe,+ knowing from whom you learned them 15 and that from infancy+ you have known the holy writings,+ which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.+ 2 Timothy 3 | Online Bible | New World Translation (2013 REVISION)
The 1984 edition had an insertion that distorted the truth of the text.
14 You, however, continue in the things that you learned and were persuaded to believe,+ knowing from what persons you learned them+ 15 and that from infancy+ you have known the holy writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation+ through the faith in connection with Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3 | Online Bible | New World Translation (1984)
The words “the…connection with” have been removed from 1984 version which clearly states that salvation is through the faith (i.e. Jehovah Witnesses organization) in connection with Christ Jesus—not through faith in Christ Jesus alone; but by becoming a member of the Jehovah Witnesses organization.

Cognitive dissonance is a major problem for those who place too much emphasis upon the Bible, so that they exclude seeking a relationship with Lord Jesus Christ. But for those of us who have a relationship with Lord Jesus—having been baptized in the Holy Spirit—we are able to discern the truth. For even with the corrupt 1984 New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures, we learn that the Bible bears witness to Lord Jesus Christ and people do not come to know Him because they search the Scriptures for salvation, and put their trust in their interpretation of the knowledge found written within its pages.
39 “YOU are searching the Scriptures,+ because YOU think that by means of them YOU will have everlasting life; and these are the very ones that bear witness about me.+ 40 And yet YOU do not want to come to me that YOU may have life.+ John 5 | Online Bible | New World Translation (1984)
The sin of bibliolatry keeps many people away from walking in the truth and receiving what God has provided for them through knowing Christ Jesus as Lord in their lives. The importance of walking in the Spirit of God cannot be overstated.
  • But you are not in the flesh, you are in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Any one who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although your bodies are dead because of sin, your spirits are alive because of righteousness. (Rom 8:9-10)
The canon of the written word of God consists of the writings of God Himself, and the inspired writings of the prophets and the apostles. However, the Living Word of God is Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom all things exist. To suggest that the Spirit of God is not able to bear witness to Lord Jesus Christ through even a corrupt translation is to deny Him of being God. However,  if a person reads the Bible, but does not want to seek God or the truth, even if reading the very original copies, nothing would change.

When people want to put something together, they usually read the instructions, if written. They do not question who wrote the instructions, they just want instructions that enable them to do what they set out to do. Likewise reading the Bible is no different. Unfortunately, people read the Bible, who are not truly seeking God, and they are not open to allowing the truth of the Scriptures to penetrate their heart. If they were open, when they read John 5:39–40 and 2 Timothy 3:15, they would realize that they need to seek Lord Jesus Christ and enter into a relationship with Him.
