SPIRITUAL ABUSE IS COMMON AMONG RELIGIONS AS THE INNOCENT ARE VICTIMIZED AND LED ASTRAY BY BEING CORRUPTED BY THE CORRUPT AUTHORITIES WHO OUGHT TO KNOW BETTER. Unfortunately, Professionals Like To Compartmentalize Various Human Activities Into Different Classifications Rather Than Calling A Spade A Spade And A Shovel A Shovel. The reality is all relationships are spiritual among humans because we are spiritual beings created in the image of God.




The Religious Leaders seem to be silent, especially when the abuse has verbal, emotional and Psychological elements. And it seems like Fundamentalists are still trying to justify abusive doctrines, practices and “Morals”, and controlling the individuals spiritual journey

What is referred to as “Spiritual Abuse” is not really a distinctly different pattern to abuse within relationships. Spiritual abuse is relationship abuse by those who are claiming spiritual authority within congregations over people who look up to them.

Pedophilia is a common practice around the world, regardless of whether this is done within a supposed “spiritual” setting or a political setting or by a babysitter or some older family member.

The abuse of innocent people is so common. This has nothing whatsoever to do with God or spirituality—or does it?

Sin is spiritual abuse. Sin is the violation of relationships. Morality is about relationships. Nobody can justify ruptured relationships as upholding morality.

People speak up about abuse all the time. The world is controlled by evil people who make out that they are good. These people see no harm in controlling, even abusing, the innocent and the weak and the ignorant. This happens in the education system and within government circles as well; not to mention the armed forces, police departments and corporations. The fact of life on planet Earth: abuse of relationships happens all too frequently and this is what spiritual warfare is about—spiritual abuse.

Jim Jones is often referred to as the personification of spiritual abuse. Yet there is much evidence that points to Jim Jones’ “People’s Temple” in Guyana being a CIA psychological operations study of how to control people—although this evidence is disputed and called a conspiracy, because the CIA is an aboveboard organization that has nothing to do with abuse of people’s rights for any cause whatsoever. However, we are told that survivors’ report that there were people being shot by guards and committing suicide as claimed, and this is supported by others who saw the bodies at the scene after the massacre. People who escaped before the fatal day occurred, tell of armed guards controlling the people. This form of abuse is abuse of power and not “spiritual abuse” in the sense that people attribute abuse to religious organizations.

The truth is that the “prince of the power of the air” seeks to control the minds of people. People have freewill, but they are born into a world controlled by an evil force that seeks to cause them to violate relationships in any which way whatsoever. This violation of relationships is called sin.

Sin is the violation of personal relationships. Regardless of the organization or size of a group or even if between two individuals, abuse of relationship is spiritual abuse. This is because we are spiritual beings in a temporary biological body and have the capacity to understand relationships are governed by moral behavior.

When a person understands the tenor of the Holy Bible and the purpose of God for permitting man to exist in a socially hostile environment, then a person is able to understand the truth of existence. Humans are born with a clean slate with the capacity to distinguish right from wrong, which can be distorted by the virus of iniquity—that is, sin.

As children, we watch what other people do, and then we come to a place where we are challenged as to whether we are going to do the same; because we know we would not like, what the people are doing to another, done to us. At this point, the decision we make, will either begin to sharpen or dull our ability to discern right from wrong thought and action. Tragedy occurs when we do what we know to be wrong and willing hand over our lives to the prince of the power of the air. This we will do, not even knowing what we have done, even though we may have felt some pang of conscience; then suppressed it.

Spiritual abuse is as commonplace as relationship abuse, because these are two terms referring to the same thing. The Apostle Paul understood this, after he had been fighting his own pricks of conscience, having signed death warrants for people, when fully knowing that the Law of God states: you shall not murder.

The law of God is about relationships, which are a spiritual matter, this is why the animal kingdom has no law—apart from what is called the law of the jungle.
  • We know that the law is spiritual; but I am carnal, sold under sin. (Romans 7:14)
Jesus spoke of the weightier matters of the law being justice, mercy and faith (Matthew 23:23). People ignorantly think that these are legal matters and not spiritual matters. The Bible says the Law is spiritual.

However, there were two aspects to the Law that need to be taken into consideration. That was written by God Himself, which is the moral law—the Ten Commandments. Then there is the redemptive and conciliatory component that was found in the civil and ceremonial laws that included animal sacrifices. These were all about relationships, either those with each other or that with our Heavenly Father.

Those who attempt to control people’s spiritual walk are guilty of relationship abuse, which is spiritual; the same as any other public official is guilty of relationship abuse when they show disrespect for another human being. As for the law enforcers, unfortunately they are required because of abuse. Stealing, vandalism, assault, murder, and other crimes are all spiritual abuse, because they affect relationships; whether directly or indirectly.

Criminal activity is an abuse of other humans and these are all covered by the only words written by the Finger of God—the Ten Commandments. Unfortunately, people do not understand these truths. And those who think they do, tend only pay lip service to them.

Incidents of abuse are often difficult to muster support for when convening a public hearing, because unless there is more than one truthful witness, nobody is going to take note. And depending upon the significance of the abuse—but more particularly, the significance of the influence of the abuser—power structures thwart justice, rectification and compensation. In many instances, there has to be a significant number of witnesses to abuse occurring, otherwise, the ball is just going out of the park and down the drain.

It is not God’s will that abuse occurs, but He has put in place the means to deal with it, and those who truly have access to His ear, know that what is written in the Bible is true. The trouble for people is the tendency to prefer sin and to hate the truth—especially when it means facing the truth about oneself and making the appropriate confession before others.
  • So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish. “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every word may be confirmed by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:14–20)
One has to realize that the world is controlled by sin and everybody is born, unknowingly, a potential captive of the power of the prince of the air (Ephesians 2:2). The only way of being delivered from the evil grip of the Prince of Darkness is contacting the Author of Life. He has made amends and provided a way out of being abused by those who revel in the evil ways of darkness. Unfortunately, the evil ones prey on the vulnerable, but then each has the right to flee—when the opportunity arises.
Though this may sound hardhearted and lacking in compassion towards the victims of abuse, the reality is that if a person does not take the opportunity to escape being abused, when presented with it, this is a form of consent to the abuse, regardless of the amount of fear felt. As for claims of indecision, this simply means that the person has not suffered enough to flee from pain, if the opportunity arises.

Each one of us are responsible for our own choices. As hard as it may sound, death is better than consenting to abuse. But then one must value freedom more than one values life as a slave; for what is life without freedom?

Those who desire freedom will speak up about abuse, those who accept (what other people call) abuse as normal, obviously are not being abused. If they were, they would speak up. Maybe they have learned to enjoy what is happening to them. Masochists are not as rare as one might think and Stockholm Syndrome seems to be contagious; especially, when it comes to the doing the will of the Devil (2 Timothy 2:26).
