The Bible states that the heart of men (including women) is evil and everyone is intent on doing evil.

The prophets equates evil with those from Sodom who were called Sodomites—it just so happens sodomy is practiced worldwide. Those who have hearts to do evil abuse what is naturally right to do and because their hearts are deceived.

The prophet Jonah cries out for people to repent from their evil ways and to turn their hands from violence (for love trumps hate).
