On sites like Quora, it is okay for people to blaspheme and criticize Christians or even Christianity, but when people are called into account, this is offensive.

However, those who have the truth are not offended by the truth.

When a person becomes a Christian—and the only way this is possible is through the second birth—one knows the truth. Those who believe they can fake it are fakes. There are many fakes. This is why people cannot be a true Christian and reject Lord Jesus Christ. But it is possible to fake it and definitely not make it.

A person who claims that she was a Christian says, in respect to speaking in tongues: “So, I faked it. They're all faking it. Although once you fake it enough you seem to be able to convince yourself you aren't. ”

There are many people who fake so much of what they say and do, who think that by being dishonest, they can say they are honest.

In America, the politicians lie so blatantly, along with the press, that they think they are trustworthy, even though they are faking the truth. Not only does this happen in America, but all over the world.

Firstly, a person, who is a genuine Christian, can never become an ex-Christian. A person who is a fake Christian—as many are—can claim he or she has become an ex-Christian, but that person was never a true Christian in the first place.

This is what Lord Jesus Christ says to all who claim they are Christians:

• I will kill her children with Death, and all the assemblies will know that I am he who searches the minds and hearts. I will give to each one of you according to your deeds. (Revelation 2:23)

Elijah, what ever gave you the idea that I was an ex-Christian? I am a Christian.

Once I was not a Christian. I am a Christian because I am circumcised of heart and possess the joy of salvation. People can say what they like, but death claims everyone.

Unless people discover Lord Jesus Christ, the only tongues that they will speak will be lies. This is because their father is the father of lies. Some people claim that an untruth is not a lie, but a lie is anything that is not the truth.

As for speaking in tongues, billions of people speak with forked tongues because they will lie, if it suits them, rather than tell the truth. Even I have told lies. If I said that I have never lied, I would be a liar. Since Lord Jesus Christ has become real to me, I have no need to lie and speak with a forked tongue. As a Christian, telling a lie really hurts. Before becoming a Christian, telling a lie was just a matter of opening one’s mouth.

As for those Pentecostals and Charismatics who speak in fake tongues, if they tell lies, even what they may call white lies, they speak with forked tongues—not fake tongues.

According to the Bible, those who actually do speak in the spiritual language, speak mysteries. The ability is a gift that edifies the one who possesses it when speaking to God.

• For he who speaks in another language speaks not to men, but to God; for no one understands; but in the Spirit he speaks mysteries. (1 Corinthians 14:2)

What is amazing is how so many people think they can fake it until they make it, when the gift that they are faking is from God, and those who are given the gift from God are also given the responsibility to use that gift correctly. Those who do not have the gift, ought to seek it, if they want it.

God knows your heart. Jesus said that those who have an honest and good heart bring forth fruit. Such fruit would be that which reflects what is expected of someone who possesses the Holy Spirit. You will know those who truly possess the Holy Spirit by their fruits.
