SECULAR THINKING IS THOUGHT AS BEING PROGRESSIVE THINKING BECAUSE MANY CLAIM IT IS MODERN AND THEREFORE SCIENTIFIC. Yet Secular Thinking Seems To Be More Destructive Than One Would Expect Of Progressive Thinking. Science ought to enhance life, yet we find secularization of the education system brings a lack of morality.

Secularism we will define as an ethical system without reference to reward or punishment in an afterlife.
Every worldview has to have a moral foundation. Every moral foundation depends upon what is considered acceptable conduct. Today we encounter people who think it is moral to abuse rights of other people, deface other people’s property, and assault people in the name of political correctness—a secular worldview.

Morals have to do with human behavior. Morals have to do with relationships. Therefore, if a moral foundation is laid, this has to be the basis on how people should be treated. However, when we speak of a foundation, we are speaking of the basis upon which we are able to construct something. Normally we think in terms of buildings that are able to provide shelter and protect us from destructive forces or entities. Fortresses are built to protect populations from the terrors that are barricaded outside the walls.
When talking about human beings possessing morals, we are talking about individuals who grow into adults that possess personalities. These personalities develop upon the behavioral foundation that is laid during the formative years as children. Childhood behavioral foundations include the understanding of what is right and wrong, which is the basis of a moral foundation. A moral foundation becomes the basis of character, which is the combination of attributes that form a strong disposition that enables a complete and rich personality to mature and achieve fulfillment. A weak moral disposition inhibits a strong upright personality from maturing.
Secularism rejects that there is a Creator who seeks a relationship with the human beings that He has created in His image. This rejection of an all-knowing, wiser Creator, automatically places the philosophy of secularism and those who espouse it at a disadvantage. For if there is any direction from the Creator, this is rejected. Therefore a new direction for behavior has to be invented.
To use an analogy, if the pistils of a flowering fruit are plucked and thrown to the wind, the individual pistils have no means of growing into something meaningful. They are merely blowing in the wind. They have been ripped from their source of life that would make their existence meaningful.
Similarly, when people have no absolute moral standard for relationships, they make up what suits them. Disorientated individuals doing their own thing, are not the same as those who have a behavioral standard to contemplate. For these individuals doing their own thing, ethics can be created for various situations and changed in other circumstances.
An example of changing ethics occurs when people make a claim of immorality for a white person referring to a dark person using colloquial language, but ignore a black person who calls a white person "whitey" framed within derogatory terms and obscene language.  What this means is a reference to a person according to his or her color (the exception being “whitey” or “white obscenity”) being worthy of eternal punishment translates into the same individuals refusing to denounce dark people who behead others because of they do not accept their beliefs.

Another example occurs when women are offended because a man wears a colorful shirt that has a pattern made of images of women in bikinis, but refuse to denounce those who subject women to servitude, treat women unjustly and deny women the rights they themselves possess.

A third example occurs when women in the media publicly savage a man for being sexist when he calls a woman into account for having been derelict in her duties but, later on, mock a woman because she has different views to what they themselves proclaim.
When people acknowledge that the Creator actually wrote a moral standard by which individuals can measure their own behavior, so they change their ways, in order to conform to the written standard, if they get out of line, a much stronger foundation is laid in the lives of children.

The problem with secularism is that their is no absolute standard for behavior. Therefore, at best, secularism can only offer an inferior moral standard; one that is degraded by virtue of the fact it offers no security. On the other hand, the moral foundation provided by the Creator does offer security. But if the moral foundation of the Creator is unknown, the foundation cannot be laid.
